I eagerly anticipate a wonderful school year with you and your child. Thank you for entering this partnership with me to make this a spectacular year. We will be exploring carefully selected, challenging works of literature from various times, cultures, and genres. Students will research issues relevant to their own lives and make interdisciplinary connections. In the area of mathematics, my goal is to help your child grow in his or her ability to communicate as a mathematician and in the process become a better problem solver. Parents can encourage their children to be interested in learning. Concepts, skills, and activities that are being learned at school need to be reinforced, reviewed, and discussed at home regularly. As a parent or guardian, your involvement in your child's education is the most important factor in your child's success in school. We will come to school each day prepared to teach and learn together.
